This solicitation has been deemed to meet the criteria for the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Set-Aside Program for the County of Essex. To produce a responsive submission to this solicitation, the vendor must be registered by a governmental agency as a minority owned business as defined by the State of New Jersey per N.J.S.A 40A:11-41 (c) (d) (i).  A copy of this registration or documentation must be included with the vendor’s response to this solicitation or it will be rejected.

A non-refundable fee of $500.00 will be required to obtain plans and specifications.

Plans and specifications MUST be picked up in person at the Office of Purchasing Room 335 at 465 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Newark, N.J. 07102.

Payment for plans and specifications to be check made payable to County of Essex or cash. A cash payment must be the exact amount. No change can be made or is available.

Plans and specifications are only available in paper form not electronic.

All plan holders from the original solicitation Bid # 26-037 are eligible to receive the newly advertised bid documents at no additional cost. This ensures that all vendors who previously purchased the specifications for Bid # 26-037 are not required to incur additional expense to participate in this solicitation.

Vendors who did not previously purchase the bid documents for Bid# 26-037 must obtain the specifications in accordance with the County’s standard procedures.
